A couple of years ago I traveled to Colorado to see the mountains. The Rockies were calling me, like a Mother.
I sat at breakfast one morning in Denver and met a couple who was traveling from New York. They had a young daughter. As I spoke to the mother about my journey, my plan to see Denver and Boulder and hike through Estes Park, I noticed her looking at me with longing. She wanted to go, I could tell.
Divorce is the best thing that ever happened to me. It did not feel that way at the time. At the time, it felt like an earthquake, like my world had been shattered, and I didn’t know how I was going to make the ground strong again.
But in time, I came to know that divorce set me free.
Women have been controlled and dominated for so long. We have been controlled using money, and we have been controlled using sex. We have been taught by churches all around the world that our bodies and our lives are not our own, that we belong to other people. We have been offered as commodities, as property.
But, honey? God only wants to set you free. God only wants to make you a real woman.
Deep and wild.
It’s time to explore your deeply sensual self. A self that is the same essence as earth.
And the earth is so, so beautiful.
You are the future, my dear. You are the everything you’ve been longing for and waiting for. You are the source of all things.
Come with me. Let’s celebrate.
